            Nowadays, there are not enough volunteers to help poor people. Our society needs people or institutions that help other people and the government has the obligation to implement new programs to help poor people.

For example, helping people in hospitals, feeding stray dogs, donating money to shelters, etc. I think if everybody helps poor people, our society could be better.

From this personal perspective, I believe in taking a pill to live longer without infirmities in order to achieve goals.

 

People want to have more time to do many things or punctual things. If people took a pill to live twice as long without infirmities, they would achieve their goals. For example, they could try different careers or learn new languages to travel around the world. Also, they could try distinct jobs to know what the best job is. Therefore, people couldn’t be worrisome about getting more time to resolve utterly a problem. They could have more time to resolve many problems.  

 

As a result, people would have a lot of awesome benefits if scientists created a pill. People could achieve their goals and watch future generation grow up. Also, people could experience new changes in their life using new technologies in the future.

Villa and Lulu are amazing animals because they saved their owners. Also, they were not trained to help people but had an excellent behavior. From this personal perspective, I believe that Villa and Lulu acted on instinct for two reasons. First, animals are not intelligent. Second, animals have skills that make their training easy.

 

Animals are not able to think because they don’t have the capacity to understand the concept of reality. Therefore, animals can’t evaluate different factors to make a good decision. In fact, Villa and Lulu acted on instinct because they didn’t know what could happen if they didn’t help their owners. In addition, animals are not intelligent.

 

The majority of animals seem intelligent but they are not intelligent. Animals are trained to do a specific task or trick. For example, dogs can sniff luggage and signal when they find drugs or explosives. In this case they are candidates to be wonderful animals.

As a result, it is difficult to affirm that animals are not intelligent because they do amazing things. According to some researches, people can’t confuse intelligence with training and people can’t measure animal intelligence in terms of human intelligence.

According to the video “Living Longer Living Better”, scientists try to determinate why some people live longer that another and in line with some researches conducted show that people can live longer for two reason. First, the genes are the key that people can live more years; if members of the family have lived longer, it is probably that their offspring would live longer, too. Also, genetics are responsible of how long we should live. Second, the environment where people live and their behavior are vital to prolong life. People have to be vigorous in exercise their body and mind. Also, they punctually have to eat their food and avoid being worrisome. They have to have a life utterly healthy and simultaneously be in shape. In conclusion, the genes and the environment and behavior are the keeps to live longer.

 

 

 

Opinion

 

I agree about the researchers explain, having genes that prolong our life and having a good diet are fundamental to live longer. Therefore, the environment where we live influences our lifetime.

I believe in extending life, and if the scientists permitted it; that’s excellent. I don’t agree with Bioethicist Daniel Callahan for the following reasons. First, the science is advancing in leaps and bounds and people cannot stop it. Also, the science is immeasurably and people have to use it to their benefit and one of them is living longer. Maybe our society is not prepared but through the time it will have an awesome change. For example, our society could become more tolerable about some beliefs. In the case of marriage and family, people could have the same behavior that now; if they are in love, they could decide to stay together lifetime, but if it doesn’t work or is insufferable, the divorce is common. Another case is the work, our society could segment jobs to different kind of ages and people couldn’t have problem in define who older or younger is. Second, nowadays, people do not have time to do many things and if they have more time they could do things simultaneously. People could try new careers, study new languages or travel around the world. In conclusion, to live longer is a good way to improve our life and inherit new values and teachings to our future generation.

Apes: Animal Intelligence
 

The video “Animal Intelligence” presents how an ape have the capacity to learn different symbols through a lexigram and how it can learn English too. Scientists explain the apes can learn most easy if they are trained young. Also, the apes have skills to learn quickly if they are motivated when do an specific exercise, in the video, the trainer gives a cup of coffee to the ape called “Consi” when it recognized a word “Coffee”. Finally, scientists can evaluate the apes’ intelligence through those exercises and these studies attributed knowledge that help scientists understand how the animal intelligence is.

 

 

 

In my opinion, it is a good way to train animals and measures the level of intelligence in animals. According to some scientists, the apes are candidates to be trained most easy, and the studies made affirm that they can learn quickly. In conclusion, through different kind of methodologies made in animals, we can understand the animal intelligence.
